Freelance · Frontend & AI Engineering

Senior frontend engineering. And AI that reaches production.

I join product teams for the hard parts of the frontend, whatever the framework, and I build LLM features that make it past the demo.

What I do

Most teams don't need another website. They need someone who can get inside a mature codebase, take on architecture decisions, and ship features that hold up in production.

In my day job I'm a Principal Solution Architect, working on how AI enters the development lifecycle of large teams: architecture, tooling, and the daily habits. Six-plus years of TypeScript in production, in Angular as much as React and Next.js, with Node and NestJS on the backend.

The part most frontend projects skip is everything after the demo. I build LLM integrations with the unglamorous pieces in place: context boundaries, evaluation, a human at the right point in review, and a cost budget.

Services

Embedded contract engineering

I work inside your team. Sprints, reviews, shared ownership, same as anyone else on it.

AI-native development in your team

Spec first, agents write the code, checked in the PR against tests, types and lint. I set that up inside your codebase, with project rules and guardrails, and show your team where AI carries the work and where it slows it down.

AI & LLM product integration

From the first feasibility question to a shipped feature: context design, evaluation, guardrails, cost.

Frontend architecture & performance

Rendering strategy, caching, Core Web Vitals, WCAG accessibility. Decisions that still hold up two years out.

Modernization & migration

Replacing a legacy frontend piece by piece, Angular to React included, without pausing the product. Covered by tests in Jest, Vitest, Playwright and Cypress.

I don't arrive with a framework preference. I work in whatever you already run.

2024 – present · Sole developer & tech lead

Complete rebuild as sole engineer: Next.js architecture, Flowfact CRM integration, and an LLM-backed content pipeline that drafts and publishes blog articles through Claude Code and a purpose-built MCP server.

  • Blog automation via Claude Code and a custom MCP server, from briefing to published article, with a human in the review loop
  • Statically generated property pages with daily CRM sync via GitHub Actions
  • Valuation calculator with server-side validation and an automatic summary to both owner and prospect
  • Lighthouse 95+ across every page, GDPR-compliant with no unnecessary tracking

2024 – present · Lead frontend developer

Building EasyEngage, an Astro platform rendering bespoke customer funnels per tenant. Focus areas: multi-tenant routing, short build times, and an editor workflow that lets the product team ship funnels without engineering involvement.

  • Multi-tenant architecture with isolated data paths and per-customer theming
  • Incremental generation and targeted caching to keep build times stable as tenant count grows
  • A component library shared by both the editor and the rendered funnel

Aug 2024 – Dec 2025 · Freelance frontend engineer

Frontend engineering on a B2B SaaS platform for course hosting and internal training.

  • Introduced coding standards in the frontend and refactored existing areas of the product
  • Brought back as a contractor after a year on the in-house team, with full product context from day one and no ramp-up

How we'll work together

01

Conversation

15 minutes, no strings. What's on the table, where the bottleneck is, whether I'm the right fit.

02

Shape

We settle scope, capacity and terms in writing, before anyone invests time. Engagements start from Q1 2027.

03

Ship

I work in your team's rhythm. Visible progress from week one, no black box.

Why work with me

  • Senior in-house experience, so I know the constraints your team works under. I work under the same ones
  • AI integration from practice, not from a blog post
  • Architecture decisions I can defend, written down and reviewable
  • Quality ships with the work: I introduced coding standards and refactorings at Memberspot, and built a unit-testing framework at Micro Focus
  • Remote-first, with on-site days within roughly 50 km of Leimen
  • Fluent in English and German, used to working across time zones
